Most people who travel internationally for IVF treatment discover, after they arrive, that the treatment itself was not the hard part. The hard part was everything around it.
The accommodation you did not know how to choose. The transfers that nobody had organised. The clinical appointment where you did not fully understand what the doctor said, and did not know who to ask. The evening in a hotel room in a city you have never lived in, going through the hardest week of your life, alone.
Fertility Solutions was built specifically for this. We are South Africa’s independent fertility navigation and concierge support service — and this article is a plain, honest account of what we actually do.
What Makes Fertility Solutions Different
Fertility Solutions is not a clinic. We do not perform treatment. We have no financial relationship with any clinic, any accommodation provider, or any other service we recommend. Our concierge fee is identical whether you do one cycle, three cycles, or stop treatment altogether. This means our advice is always in your interest — never influenced by what benefits us.
We are independent. That independence is the foundation of everything we offer.
The Concierge Model — One Person, Your Entire Journey
The Fertility Solutions concierge is not a coordinator who sends you information and answers emails. They are a skilled, knowledgeable human presence who walks alongside you from the first contact through to your final result — and into whatever comes after.
We accept one international client on-site per month during our initial phase. That is a deliberate decision. It means your concierge’s attention is not divided. It means every detail of your stay is considered. It means you are not competing with another client for presence.
What the Concierge Covers — Specifically
Pre-arrival (4–8 weeks before travel):
- Welcome Pack and personal WhatsApp within 24 hours of package confirmation
- Virtual Psychologist Session 1 — booked 3–4 weeks before travel, mandatory
- Virtual Dietician Session 1 — booked 2–3 weeks before travel
- Virtual Movement Specialist Session 1 — travel guidance and arrival recovery
- Medical checklist — what tests to complete before departure
- Accommodation shortlist — three options at different levels, admin confirms your choice
- All Cape Town transfers booked — airport arrival, all clinic runs, departure
- Pre-arrival logistics call — 2 weeks before travel, full walkthrough
Arrival:
- Driver waiting at Cape Town International, name visible, vehicle confirmed
- Accommodation prepared, welcome package in room
- Personal WhatsApp on landing, evening check-in call
- No clinical pressure on arrival day — rest only
In-country active phase:

- Coordinates all Care Team in-person sessions: psychologist, dietician, movement specialist
- Sightseeing and leisure experiences arranged around your clinic schedule

- Immediate response if difficult results arrive during the stay
Two-week wait and result:
- Daily contact adjusted to your local time zone, not Cape Town time

- Exit pathway walked alongside you: positive, negative, or pause
The Care Team — Psychologist, Dietician, Movement Specialist
Fertility Solutions coordinates a complete care team for every international patient. The psychologist is mandatory — this is not optional, and it is not optional because we know that the emotional weight of this journey requires professional support, and that having that support in place before you travel is the difference between feeling held and feeling alone.
The dietician provides nutritional optimisation for your treatment phase — a pre-travel protocol to maximise your body’s readiness, in-person Cape Town sessions, and TWW nutrition guidance. The movement specialist covers travel movement guidance (DVT risk, circulation), arrival recovery, and a movement plan tailored to each phase of your cycle.
All Care Team providers are on virtual standby post-departure. The support does not end when you board the plane home.
Cape Town as Part of the Experience
One of the things Fertility Solutions offers that no other fertility service offers is this: we treat Cape Town as part of the treatment.
This is not metaphorical. We know that the environment in which you undergo fertility treatment affects how you experience it — and that rest, beauty, and moments of genuine joy during a hard journey make a real difference. So we build them in.
Table Mountain. Kirstenbosch. Boulders Beach. Chapman’s Peak. Franschhoek. The V&A Waterfront at dusk. These experiences are not extras that you arrange yourself if you have time. They are part of the FS experience — arranged by your concierge, timed around your clinic schedule, and calibrated to your energy and treatment phase.
One Flat Fee. No Surprises.
The Fertility Solutions international concierge fee is USD $4,500 ex VAT. This is the complete fee for the full concierge relationship — pre-arrival through result and exit. There are no add-ons, no upgrades, no variables. Care Team provider fees (psychologist, dietician, movement specialist) are paid directly by the client to the provider. Accommodation, transport, and any optional services are paid directly by the client. The concierge fee is for the concierge relationship — and it is fixed.
That clarity is intentional. You should know exactly what you are buying before you commit to anything.
