Joburg Child Welfare (JCW) is one of South Africa’s oldest and most established child protection organisations, serving vulnerable children and families in Johannesburg since 1909. As an accredited child protection organisation and adoption agency, JCW provides a wide range of services aimed at protecting children from abuse, neglect, abandonment, and exploitation while strengthening families and communities.
The organisation offers specialised adoption, foster care, child protection, social work, and therapeutic services. Through its various programmes and care centres, JCW supports children from crisis intervention through to permanency planning, family reunification, foster care, or adoption when appropriate.
