A little bit about our Doctors:
Dr Sagie Naidu, born in Durban, graduated from the University of Natal in 1986 and qualified as a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in 1992. He further specialised in reproductive medicine in Singapore and Denmark and is a certified subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine and Infertility with the HPCSA. Since 1994, he has been in private practice and is the clinical director of Durban Fertility Clinic, established in 2003. Dr Naidu is actively involved in his field, having served on councils of SASREG, SASOG, and the KZN Specialist Network, as well as being an honorary lecturer at UKZN. He also advises pharmaceutical companies and, in 2020, received a Meritorious Service award from SASOG.
Dr Mahesh Bhana matriculated in Johannesburg and earned his MBChB from the University of Natal Medical School in 1987. He qualified as a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in 1994 and entered private practice in 1997. With a strong interest in reproductive medicine, he pursued further training in Singapore and Denmark and is registered as a specialist in reproductive medicine with the HPCSA. Dr Bhana is a member of several professional societies, including SASREG and ASRM. Since 2003, he has been the Clinical Director of Durban Fertility Clinic, working in partnership with Dr Sagie Naidu.
