The C.A.R.E Clinic – Centre for Assisted Reproduction and Endocrinology in Kwa-Zulu Natal is a leading, independent fertility clinic. The Clinic was first conceived in 1994 in Westville Hospital but has since expanded to a free-standing fertility clinic, located in the heart of Westville, close to Central Durban and Westville Hospital.

The C.A.R.E Clinic’s founder, Dr Anil Ramdeo (MB.CHB.BAO (NUI) MR.COG), says “Infertility is a highly charged, complex topic, with one in six women world-wide experiencing fertility problems. Doctor Ramdeo has been a infertility specialist and consultant for over 25 years. He is also currently a tutor, moderator and examiner for Clinical technology studies, B Tech Studies and Masters degrees in B Tech Studies. With over 30 years of experience in women’s health and fertility, Dr. Ramdeo is not only known for his clinical excellence but also for his compassion, dedication, and the way he always goes the extra mile for every patient. From delivering over 1,350 babies to performing 4,500+ successful surgeries, Dr. Ramdeo has impacted thousands of lives with his steady hands and kind heart.

Dr Ramdeo and Mr Kinnon Naidoo (Head Embryologist) continued to advance their unit and also to establish the first ICSI facility in Westville Hospital. This allowed them to execute the first frozen embryo pregnancy in South Africa. In 2006, Care Clinic became an independent free-hold fertility clinic- the very first of its kind, in the heart of Westville, located at 21 Jan Hofmeyer Road.
