Can I Take The Covid-19 Vaccine While I Am Pregnant?

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), it is safe for women who are pregnant to take the Covid-19 vaccine.

CDC says, “COVID-19 vaccination is recommended for all people aged 12 years and older, including people who are pregnant, breastfeeding, trying to get pregnant now, or might become pregnant in the future. Pregnant and recently pregnant people are more likely to get severely ill with COVID-19 compared with non-pregnant people. Getting a COVID-19 vaccine can protect you from severe illness from COVID-19.”

COVID-19 vaccination during pregnancy has been found to be safe and effective. There are many benefits of receiving a COVID-19 vaccine, but there is no evidence that any vaccines cause fertility problems in both men and women.

The benefits of receiving a COVID-19 vaccine outweigh any known or potential risks of vaccination during pregnancy.

Vaccine side-effects

COVID-19 vaccines can cause mild, side effects, such as a fever or pain or redness at the injection site. Most reactions to vaccines are mild and go away within a few days on their own. More serious or long-lasting side effects to vaccines are possible but extremely rare.
